Maes Howe Archaeology Tours
This monumental Neolithic chambered tomb is more than 5,000 years old. Visitors can enter through the passage and explore the central chamber, which is aligned to the winter solstice sunrise.
Inside the Neolithic stonework of its construction is itself amazing, but it also boasts Viking and Norse graffiti by groups who broke in a thousand years ago to shelter from a storm and spent their time carving runes and pictures on the walls.
