Barnhouse Archaeology Tours
Just yards from the Stones of Stenness lies the Neolithic village of Barnhouse. Although viewed as a village, it is very different to Skara Brae, and includes a huge 'house' with complex entrances – leading archaeologists to believe that this settlement may have housed the priests who tended the stones circles and therefore be quasi-religious in nature itself.
