Archaeology Tours of Orkney
The dates for 2011/2012 tours are as follows:
- February 18th - 21st, 2012
- April 14th - 17th, 2012
- June 2nd - 5th, 2012
- August 18th – 21st, 2012
- September 1st – 4th, 2012
- November 3rd – 6th, 2012
Should none of these dates suit you, trips on alternative dates can be arranged for groups of 4 or more. Please send an enquiry and I will endeavour to meet your requirements.
The cost of the trip is £350 per person. This includes:
- All transportation
- Accommodation
- Entrance fees to sites
- The services of a professional archaeologist to provide as much or as little information about the sites, and Orkney in general, as you require
- Insurance (where you are a matriculated student of University of Edinburgh)
- Breakfast on the Sunday
It does not include food (other than Sunday breakfast), incidentals or insurance for those who are not University of Edinburgh students. Travel insurance is required, and suitable companies can be found on the 'Useful Links' page.
If you wish to make a booking, please either call or send an email. I will need a deposit of 50% to confirm your place, with the remainder owing by the day of departure. Payments can be made by cheque, payable to 'Ancient Alba', in person by cash, or by bank transfer. If you wish to pay by bank transfer, please let me know and I will send you the account details.
